We are a non-for-profit organisation providing employment services for people with disabilities.
The organisation was originally set up in 1949 by a group of people with physical disabilities as a self-help group for people within the community whose disabilities were not due to war service. As such, it is one of the oldest organisations of its type. Today, we provide supported employment opportunities for circa 240 people with disabilities.
Access Knowledge is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO No. 45311) registered with the Australian Skills Quality Authority. Access Knowledge has been established to deliver workplace training for people with disabilities who are either already employed or seeking future employment. The mission and purpose of our organisation is to create opportunities for people with disabilities to achieve economic and community participation through meaningful employment.
The qualifications and units of competency on offer are nationally recognised and provide individuals with a valuable qualification that can be applied throughout Australia and the wider community services.
Training is delivered by qualified trainers who are currently working in their domain industry and have experience in working with people with disabilities. This combination ensures that learning and assessment is suitable and effective for people with disabilities.
